アメリカの伝統的バーベキュー料理「プルドポーク」の魅力をご紹介！原宿にある「プルドポーク」専門店『Toasty Guys』と「プルドポーク」を使ったパンが購入できる『エピシェール横浜』にお邪魔しました。
「プルドポーク」とはバーベキューが盛んなアメリカ南部・ノースカロライナを代表するBBQ料理のことを言います。下味を付けた豚の塊肉を低温でじっくり焼き、ほろほろにほぐした肉にバーベキューソースをかけパンなどに挟んで食べるのが基本スタイル！レシピは簡単なのにパンだけでなくごはんやパスタ、ピザの具としても応用が効いたり、合わせる具材によって味のバリエーションが広がるので、普段の食事としてだけでなく、アウトドアやパーティーなど様々な場面で楽しめる魅力があります。また、ぐるなびの2020年トレンドメニューにも「プルドポーク」が取り上げられており、ここ最近取り扱うお店は急増しているそう。今回はそんな「プルドポーク」の魅力をいち早くお伝えしていきたいと思います。それでは早速ご覧ください！

Introducing the charm of American traditional barbecue dish “Pulled pork”! We visited “Toasty Guys”, one of the few “pulled pork” specialty stores in Harajuku, and “Epiciere Yokohama” where you can buy bread made from “pulled pork”.
“Pulled pork” is a BBQ dish that represents the southern United States,North Carolina where barbecue is popular. The basic style is to slowly roast the seasoned pork chunks at a low temperature, sprinkle the barbecue sauce on the loosened meat, and sandwich it in bread. Instead of a simple recipe, it can be applied not only to bread but also to pasta and pizza, and the variety of flavors can be expanded depending on the sauce to be combined, so it is attractive to enjoy in various situations such as outdoors and parties. “Pulled pork” is also featured in Gurunavi’s 2020 trend menu, and it seems that the number of shops handling it is increasing.
