Okada Manila was built over a period of seven years at a total cost of approximately 240 billion JPY (2.4 billion US dollars), with a pre-opening in December 2016 and an official opening in March 2017. Okada Manila was founded by Kazuo Okada, chairman of Universal Entertainment, and is the world’s first casino hotel to be solely owned and operated by a Japanese person.
